    miuuu.

I really haven't been drawin lately. Got a job at subway and now i spend all my free time dreading it, as is generally the case with meaningless food service jobs. I really shouldn't. It's fast-paced and fun, we have a very clean store that closes at 7pm, our customers are all very nice gov't and construction workers; i'm used to far worse. really. I should be loving it. I guess I'm mostly afraid of canada day... lol I basically live in the capital and work four or 5 blocks from ground zero of july 1st fireworks. we open at 4pm since the offices are closed for the holiday and won't be in for lunch, and i start at 5, we're staying open until people stop coming in for sandwiches. that scares me.

what also works up loads of uncertainty is that we get our schedule the day before it starts. so i have to wait for every tuesday to find out when i'll be working on wednesday, etc. makes it very hard to plan anything else in my week.

So once I'm settled into this, mmmaybe i'll be able to draw more; i really do need something that gets me out instead of cloistering myself in my room trying to draw constantly, somehow i am starting to think it's counterproductive to drive myself insane over something that should just be for fun.

    Oh Canada Day...

The fireworks normally start around 9 or 10 where I live, and they only got for about half an hour, though I imagine that they'll be longer for 'ground zero'.

Hopefully you won't be open too late.

its gonns be my first canada day and i am excited. on the other hand, i used to work at a subway in walmart, which opened at 5 am and closed at 11 pm. soo if it's gonna be anything like that was, i pity you, and your limbs will be useless by the next morning.

You are working for paying your studies, isn't it?

Think about July 1st as a friend did: "When this ends, you'll be more m******king awesome than before" (actually the phrase was in spanish and I'm having problems translating it :XD:)

I feel your pain about not knowing your schedule. ;;;;; We get ours the day before most of the time too. Because we schedule people to work by the number of dogs that are going to be boarding that week and tons of people call in at the last minute. But I guess it's better than magically being put on the schedule when you thought you had the day off and it ruins your plans ;; Lose/Lose

I'll trade you delicious honey oat bread for some of the walnut loaf from the place I work at. The stuff could be used to club someone from behind and knock them out, for sure.
My condolences on the "menial labor day job to make ends meet" thing. I'm in the same boat as of late. I miss having time to do things, even if I'm not drawing.
